Why we exist today
The demand for cheaper way to carbon footprint an organisation was identified by Will Richardson and his team at Green Element, a successful Environmental Management Consultancy.
Over the years they noticed that many organisations would love to be greener but were held back by the initial financial barriers.
By using our 20 years of sustainability experience to develop Compare Your Footprint software and semi-automate the carbon footprint process, we have been able to significantly reduce the cost of assessment and create a more open playing field.
We walk the talk
We are driven to help more businesses than ever to go “green” and walk the talk ourselves. We are signed up to the Science Based Targets Initiative and are a certified B-Corporation via our sister company, Green Element.
Our prices are kept fair
We base our prices on the size of turnover for an organisation. We offer our annual licence for free to organisations with under £1m turnover to encourage them to measure and reduce their environmental impact early on in their lifecycle. Fellow B-Corporations receive a 20% discount too!
Under the umbrella of our sister organisation Green Element, we are proud to be a certified B-Corporation. This means that we are a new kind of business that balances purpose and profit. We are legally required to consider the impact of our decisions on our workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment.
Our own impact and commitments
Proud to be a member of Business Declares
Business Declares is the fast-growing network of businesses who acknowledge the Climate and Ecological Emergency. Our work is based on a commitment to support businesses to measure and therefore manage their relationship with the environment. We are fully committed to operating as sustainably as possible and are proud to be a B Corp. We add our voice to this collective and resounding call for change and an urgent acceleration of climate action.
Setting our own Science-Based Targets
Under the umbrella of Green Element, we have obtained validation from the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to set and reduce our emissions in line with the Paris Agreement of 1.5 degrees. This highlights our commitment to curb climate change in line with the latest climate science. There are a growing number of organisations that have SBTs, and we as a company are proud to be one of them.
"We are thrilled to announce the publication of our 2020 Impact Report, which wouldn’t exist without the huge efforts made by our team, our clients and our partners. Thank you all!"
